Travel Information

The closest airport is Indianpolis (IND) which is about an hour drive. Directions as well as other travel information is listed on our travel page.

If you fly into Chicago, please remember that they are on a different time zone as Purdue. They will be one hour behind us.

We recommend those traveling from abroad to arrive the afternoon of Tuesday, October 3, 2006.

Wednesday, October 4, 2006 opening session 1:30 - 4:40 pm in Burton Morgan Center.

Banquet Dinner, October 5, 2006.

Poster Session, 1:00 pm, October 5, 2006 in the Birck Nanotechnology Center Atrium.

Saturday activity, trip to Feast of the Hunter's Moon and Frank Lloyd Wright's Samara House, optional (see information below).

Venue

All sessions of the workshop will be held in Discovery Park at the Burton Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship (map) Room 121. This is just a 10 minute walk from the Union Club Hotel on campus. There is also a Transportation Trolley available every 15 minutes in front of the Union on State Street. Please see map of the this area.

Extra Activites

You might be interested in staying an extra day to attend the Feast of the Hunters Moon. Each year the Tippicanoe Historical Society does a reinacment of the French and Indian trade. This is held at Fort Ouiatenon.

We are also planning a trip to the Samara House. This is one of Frank Lloyd Wrights masterpieces.

We will take a count of those that will be attending these events during the last session of the workshop. More details will be givien to you at the workshop.
